Who I am
Since 2009
Sr. Web Developer for General Informatics (previously CMS IP TECHNOLOGIES).
My Origin Story...
Starting off as CMS IP TECHNOLOGIES in Beaumont, TX, I began as a contractor before being hired as the sole website developer to a local MSP. My primary responsibility was to develop and design all client websites and to provide ongoing management for both clients and company websites. My secondary responsibility was as a tier-1 help desk engineer, which strengthened my knowledge in DNS, security, and overall network infrastructure.
In 2022, CMS was acquired by the MSP, General Informatics of Baton Rouge. I maintained my position as Sr. Web Developer without the help desk duties. Still the sole web developer, I continued to design, develop and manage WordPress websites for our clients and assist the GI marketing team with our internal company websites including branding and SEO. Additional responsibilities include assisting our clients with SharePoint Online and AI workflows from our AI as a Service.
Some of my accomplishments include developing a managed service in our portfolio for monthly website maintenance and security, creating an annual WordPress security audit for managed clients, developing a self-hosted installation of MainWP for WordPress management and monitoring, and participating in website accessibility training for WCAG compliance.
